Forbidden

This Bay Area thrash metal institution has long been associated with the thrash metal scene of the 1980s. They formed as Forbidden Evil in 1985 and changed their name to Forbidden in 1987. With songs from their era including thrash anthems such as “Chalice of Blood”, “Forbidden Evil”, “Twisted into Form” and “Step by Step” the band promises to deliver a dose of old school thrash metal. Their last album to date is the 2010 album “Omega Wave” but the band promises to release a new album this coming summer of 2026.

Cynic

Progressive metal pioneers Cynic are one of the most prominent bands in the progressive death metal genre that fuses metal with jazz elements. Founded in 1987, the band have received widespread critical acclaim for their albums Focus and Traced in Air. Have a listen to some of their progressive metal tracks such as Veil of Maya, The Space for This and more.

Doomsday

This heavy groove metal band use their large, heavy sound to balance out the fast thrash elements of some of the other bands at the show. The music of Doomsday adds a darker, more ambient atmosphere to the proceedings as well.

Cultural Warfare

More thrash energy courtesy of Cultural Warfare, who bring their typically socially conscious lyrics and music in abundance. They will be an excellent primer for Forbidden who will close the evening.
