They play in the post-hardcore/emo scene and are playing shows in support of their latest album, self-titled "0 0 0 0" which features songs such as "Bang Yer Head", "Cypress Dust Witch", and "We All Have Blood On Our Hands". The band members create an intense atmosphere by performing soulfully cathartic vocals, intense guitar playing, and heart-pounding drumming. The music created by Portraits of Past brings back memories of fans that were inspired by the bands screamo/screaming in the emotional hardcore underground and were touched by their song writing from the last decade or so decade of performances.
