The Great American Music Hall
ANJA HUWE, the explosive force behind the classic post-punk sound of Xmal Deutschland will bring her incendiary live show to the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on Sunday March 22nd, 2026. Doors 7pm / Showtime 8pm.
In support of her critically acclaimed solo album 'Codes' (Monika Enterprise) coming out in 2024, Huwe will be performing songs from her solo project as well as Xmal Deutschland songs such as 'Incubus Succubus' and 'Qual' along with some brand new material. This 700 capacity, all ages, friendly venue has excellent acoustics and a beautiful Victorian interior, making it a fantastic place to experience Huwe’s synesthesia-inspired discographies.

Anja Huwe’s Xmal Deutschland Tour Embarks on Post-Punk and Gothic Rock Adventure This Sunday, March 22nd, 2026, San Francisco’s The Great American Music Hall will be turned into a post-punk and gothic rock extravaganza when Anja Huwe performs as part of her Anja Huwe/Xmal Deutschland Tour. Doors are for 7:00 PM; music is set to start at 8:00 PM.
During the tour, Anja Huwe will be performing her current solo tour with songs from her 2024 solo album “Codes” and a broad spectrum of Xmal Deutschland’s music. The tour will bring Anja Huwe to nine countries with additional shows scheduled in New York, Montreal and Leipzig for Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival as well as Zduńska Wola. Tickets for this event are from $56.
Through her work with Hamburg’s influential post-punk/gothic rock band Xmal Deutschland, Anja Huwe’s hero and peer band is sure to impress fans of this iconic genre. Xmal Deutschland’s unforgettable songs entranced fans worldwide for many years, including songs like Incubus Succubus, Qual, and Mondlicht, to name just a few. New material from her critically acclaimed solo album Codes, released in 2024, will also be included in the set.

The audience is always front and center here iin the Tenderloin District of San Francisco. This stunning historic theater building was opened as a movie house in 1907 in a 1906 earthquake rebuilt structure. The beautifully appointed 1907 theater, with its majestic stage and outstanding 1917 Douglass Hartness and Charles P. Moore sound system renovation, continues to host many kinds of performances that delight the senses and entertain all ages. The hall provides excellent acoustics and can hold about 700 with 470 seated and 600 standing. You may choose to simply take in a show from the general admission, main floor standing room area or from the balcony seats and select number of reserved seats.
